Handlebar Tape & Bar Grips

It’s all in the hands they say. Well, it is when you’re flying down an alpine descent with only your wits and some well-applied handlebar tape between you and a face full of geography. Keep the ground where it’s meant to be and layer your precious bars with the best bar tape for your ride; but what is the best handlebar tape for road bikes? In our experience, it’s whatever you find comfiest, grippiest and of course, the most stylish! Some riders prefer thick, spongey bar tape, some cotton thin with the feel for every bump of the road. The best balance is probably somewhere halfway - padded but not overly so, and grippy in both the wet and dry, with and without gloves.
